Another Mid-January 2018 Prayer

Father,  You don't speak to be merely heard, you speak to be obeyed. Growth and change are indicators of health.  My fear is that obedience to You means forgoing my dreams. But, obedience is Your best "yes" to my dreams and desires.  Obedience looks and feels differently.  I must live in a posture of surrender: obedience of heart, mind, and will. Lord, obedience can cost. I confess, I have not been believing  that what You give far outweighs the cost. Forgive me. Forgive me, also, because delayed obedience is disobedience. Psalm 32 says that You will see me and hear me and counsel me in the way I should go. Please give me an obedient heart and ears to hear that counsel. amen.
