Prayer from August 24, 2021

Holy God, 

Things that I fight for
hope in my dreams
patience in waiting
compassion for others
faith in my purpose

For my student whose home is torn apart by acrimony and divorce, who numbs himself in video games, please heal.

For my student, who openly mocks his teachers, who presents two persons incongruous, please heal.

For my student, riddled with anxiety, steeped in doubt and self-loathing, who desperately seeks freedom found in you, please heal.

For my student, who puts on a brave face, who uses false smiles like a band aid to her pain, please heal.
