Prayer from Mid-January 2018

 "I will teach you and instruct you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye upon you." --Psalm 32:8

God,

You know what is best.
And, I ask that I obey you in order to experience it.

I confess that my heart and will have not been surrendered.

I ask you for freedom from every fear
or vain assumption
or selfish desire
that keeps me from pure obedience to you.

Please help me to be humble
and to surrender daily.

Surrender begins with obedience.
Obedience begins with love.

"For the love of Christ compels us..."
