Prayer from February 02, 2021

 [In response to reading Haggai]

Lord, 

You have formed me and know me.
You are familiar with all of my ways.
My sin is before me, and when I sin, it is against you.

Where can I flee from your Spirit?
Not even unto death.

Praise be to Jesus, 

who knowing no sin,
became sin,
making me a co-heir with him.

For the Spirit gives life
for those

in Christ

like new created beings,
the sin dead  
passed away,

behold!
Christ is risen indeed.

Thank you, Lord, for this day.
Help me to be strong, to work faithfully, to remember you, to seek your will in my life, and to fear not. I trust and delight in my God and his promises.
