Prayer from November 08, 2020

 Lord, 

Thank you for 

this sunshine afternoon
a bike ride to explore 
my sister-best-friend and her husband for opening up their home to me
a work week with no stress-cry-drives home
a shortened commute with extra time for the snooze button
Saturdays to recover joy
teaching since August without illness
the visit from my brother
sharing a book I love with students I love
the second cup of coffee every morning
my after-school out-of-doors runs
Sunday morning church (virtually)
Sunday evening community groups (present)
my parents
longtime friendships here in Arkansas and out-of-state
nephew-giggles
morning sunrises
the gospel

God, you have used this recent change to carve out space for something new.
Thank you, Holy Spirit, for peace.
Thank you, Jesus, for your steadfast love.
God, please use your Word in my life this week.
