Prayer from September 28, 2008

 King Jesus, 

Thank you for this weekend spent with my dad.
I've missed him, and I love spending time with my family. 
Thank you for my parents, my brother, and my sister.

God, please feed me with your Word and fill me with your Spirit.
I ask that you reveal truth to me as I open the Bible and read.
I ask that you give me ready feet, a shield of faith, and a sword of the Spirit--your word that pierces to the very marrow of my bones.

You have done a marvelous thing in my life. 
Thank you for the love that I am discovering in you.

May everything I do, my words and my actions, be for your glory.
May I decrease as you increase.
May you lead me to the foot of the cross.

I love you, and I offer these things to you in faith.
Please comfort my family--especially my dad--wrap him in the folds of your loving embrace.
