Prayer from August 08, 2017

Holy Spirit,

Tomorrow is my last day of prepping and planning before the semester begins.
And, I am exhausted, running on little sleep from late night fretting, and stressed over all that I still need to accomplish.

There are so many things that I cannot fix:
--getting into my online gradebook
--getting a key to my classroom and to my desk
--finding a bookcase for the reading books and textbooks
--figuring out what to do with the two very large pianos in the room....

Since I cannot immediately fix these things myself, I surrender all of it to you.
Help me to trust you in all things today, to practice patience, and to be filled with peace.
I want to care for my students well.
Please give me discerning eyes and ears where they are concerned.

Jesus, I love you and need your presence.
Thank you for the cross and that you always keep your promises.
Always.
