Prayer from January 04, 2007
Father,
Often, I do, but by meditating on your Word, I will have courage to be bold and speak.
Like in Jeremiah 1:6-9.
I like this verse because it shows how you provide and give strength to those lacking.
And, it's my verse to help make me courageous--which is something I find that I need more and more lately.
Lord, I ask you for a humble and gentle spirit.
Pride is one of my greatest faults, and it is such a hard shortcoming to defeat.
Thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Help me not become distracted from you by temporary things (i.e. homework...)*
You are wonderful and beautiful to me.
You have captivated my heart.
amen.
*I would love to return to the time when my greatest worry was my high school homework. Bless.
"Do not let this Book of Law depart from your mouth:It's so easy for me to become discouraged in my own faith.
Meditate on it day and night...do not be terrified; do no be discouraged,
for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." --Joshua 1:8-9
