Prayer from May 13, 2017

God,

Graduation day!
All I can do is thank you, praise you, and give you all glory.
Yes, I worked hard, but I prayed for self-discipline and peace during those times because hard work is not easy and not in my nature.*

                                                                                                  (I'd so much rather just read a book.)

Any intelligence and ability comes from you--may you receive the glory!


Last night, I was annoyed by a few things and freaking out because of it.
Holy Spirit, I wait on and trust in my God.
Thank you for how richly you have blessed me.

*I vividly remember driving to the university for a final exam after the most challenging and time-consuming semester of graduate school. I had prayed for peace and self-discipline daily that fall. God did not disappoint. It was both exhilarating and humbling to realize.
