Prayer from October 14, 2009
Holy Father,
I was reading through Proverbs 12 this morning, and so many of the verses centralize around speech and talk and how it affects other people.
And, it got me thinking, you know,
that over the past two weeks,
my speech and the subject of my conversations has not exactly been uplifting or righteous.
Where do I draw the line?
And, for what?
And my soul keeps coughing up sawdust.
And I miss you most when I neglect you.
I'm sorry.
I want to be everything you have created me for.
It is by faith alone in Christ alone that I am redeemed.
Thank you, Jesus, for your death and resurrection!
Forgive me--for forgetting too often, too easily.
amen.
