Noche de Chicas
Girls' Night Out
Two weeks ago, we hosted the very first international Girls' Night Out here in the Dominican Republic. After weeks of prayer, publicity, and preparation, we opened the doors wide to the church auditorium that Thursday evening. Unsure of how many women would attend, God totally blew our minds and brought 200+ women to hear the Gospel. Of those women, 39 prayed to receive Christ and 121 recommitted their life to Jesus!
Author and speaker Marian Jordan Ellis came to the DR! |
She shared her personal testimony and the Gospel with over 200 women! |
Women came from all walks of life: students, professionals, teens, mothers. |
The room was full and attentive as Marian preached the Gospel of Jesus! |

It has been so cool to hear the testimonies of the girls that attended the event and even cooler to have seen specific girls walk through the doors knowing that the fact that she showed up was an answer to prayers.
Below are a few testimonies from a few of the student leaders who participated in the event--
"It impacted me how open Marian was because I was able to identify with every word that she said The Way that she shared her experiences and how Jesus changed her life gave me hope because God can do that still. And, I identified with her and her story. When she shared that only God can fill that empty space in our heart, that was what really touched me." -Lynn
"I really like the way that many people that came were touched in a very genuine way. I liked Marian's testimony because it was so sincere and open. She had a way of transmitting to the women that her life before Christ did not satisfy her." -Ruth
Thank you for praying alongside of us during this week! God was answering prayers right, left and center, and I can't wait to see how He continues to reach women with the Gospel through those that came to Girls' Night Out. Please pray with us as we begin to meet again with those that attended the event and that the truth of the Gospel would take root in their lives.
xoxo,
kme
