Sunday

Worship at church. Love

"Alleluia, te damos gloria, vivimos para ti"
"Alleluia, we give you glory, we live for you"

Monday

I'll admit.  I was nervous about going to campus Monday because of all the recent tumult the city and country has been in over the recent fiscal reform. But, I ended up in the "embajadas" that afternoon, talking about spirituality for about 2 hours with one student, K.

The students at UASD are so open to sharing their thoughts and beliefs with you that you can't help but feel like a long-lost friend by the end of the conversation. About an hour after talking with K., Shannon and I were passing through the embajadas when a group of 3 students flagged us down with a simple "pssstt, rubia!" and asked us to share with them what I was sharing with other students on campus.

Love it when God uses "rubia-ness" for His glory.

Tuesday

Gender reveal party and hangout with the Vida Students at the nearby supermarket. The Foths had asked the students to wear blue if they thought it was a girl and pink if they thought it was a boy.

Girl!

Wednesday

Being "manamayor" to Roberto, a Vida student at UASD. Basically, David and I walk him to class on Wednesday afternoons because, as he says, in the Dominican culture, older brothers and sisters walk younger siblings to school every morning.
So we have to walk him to his law class.
Punto.
I did make sure to ask him if he did his homework.

Thursday-Sunday

This weekend I have the opportunity to go with Leyla, Prospero, my team, and 10 Vida students to a satellite UASD campus in Santiago, a northern city know as the second capital and the "corazon" of the country. While there, we will be sharing about Christ's grace and redemption, meeting students, and helping to start a Vida Estudiantil on that campus.

Please pray with us this weekend: for safety, for friendship, for humility, and for God to continue to bring his good work into completion.

xoxo,

kme
