New Obsession

This. Song. Amazing.

 Gloria en lo Alto~

Our team all attends a local Evangelical church here in Santo Domingo. And man, it may still be 90 degrees at the end of October and electric fans are your only source of A/C and nine out of ten times you don't understand the sermon or the testimonies or the prayers and the service is long enough to make you famished by the end of it, but But BUT, this church sure can worship.

The dancing, singing, praying, hugging, little kids running, talking, laughing, tambourine playing kind of worship. The kind of worship that makes your insides jittery and ready for something great. I think it's a lot like joy.
"Further up and further in." -C.S. Lewis
My Momma said something to me my first week being here, and it's kind of stuck with me ever since. She said the very beginning of James says that we must consider it pure joy when we face trials of many kinds. She said that the word consider is in there for a reason. Because choosing joy is not just spiritual or emotional experiences, it's a mental attitude of obedience. It's faith in Christ.

Como Dijiste~

"Ven Señor, como dijiste, derrama tu gloria."
"Come Lord, like You said, pour out your glory."
