Team Briefing in Chicago

Last week, I joined 350+ others from all over in Chicago for training and preparation. I was finally able to meet the other half of my team and get those super fun and not at all stressful visas shipped off. Can I get an Amen?

We spent a lot of time in seminars (more on that to come) learning cultural tips, conflict resolution and how to be a "good neighbor with a Great Message."

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." -Colossians 2:6-7

One of my favorite days was last Thursday (or was it Wednesday?) when we took a day trip into the city for some R&R + quality time.

Chicago may be my new favorite place in the U.S.

We are now tentatively scheduled to leave for Santo Domingo the second week of September. Here's to brushing up on my Spanglish, new friendships after 8 hour road trips, God's grace through Christ Jesus, and trying to fit one year of my life into two bags.

Peace and blessings. Peace and blessings.
